Greetings Mr. Bullock,
I just finished viewing your video. It has inspired me to become a vehicle to use your video to educate our people about the conditions that they have allowed themselves to be subjected to. I work in the Homicide Division , it’s not a day that goes by that I don’t see black on black killings. I am a NAACP life member, I belong to a school mentoring group and Blacks In Government. I am in contact with detectives, police, preachers and educators. With your help I would like to be an instrument in educating our people by distributing your video to the masses here in Washington, D.C., Maryland and in Harlem, NY.

I have watch this at least several times and each time it has brought tears to my eye. I know that you are not selling this but I would like three copies, I'm a single mother who always speak of the very thing that was promoted in this film, 104 years, and we still haven't learn a thing and to see it put so gently touched my heart. Please let me know how I can please get a copy, it would mean the world to me and I would be more than happy to send a contribution to you for your time .
G. P. - GA.
Brother Bullock,
Thank you for this inspiring video. I would like to request a few copies so I can circulate them. A friend of mine in Bermuda, with whom I shared the link, is interested. So please let me know how and where I can get a few copies. I am presently the President of the Caribbean Community Association and I would love to have it circulated amongst the nationals.
R. S.
I was just on Facebook and a friend posted your A War for Your Soul-Birmingham Addition video. It is absolutely brilliant; I just wanted to say thank you for making it and I'll be sure to pass it on.
Clayton M..
You did an excellent job in putting together content and presentation. It was well done and most compelling. It will become a permanent part of my library of videos and education for all the black children and adults that I know and hope to meet in the future! Thank you for a job well done!
G.K. -CA.
I thoroughly enjoyed watching the videos you were inspired to produce. Is there some way I could obtain a copy on DVD to share with the African American Committee Members in the remembrance of Black History Month. I’ve been a committee member for several years and I work for the Department of the Army. Racial tension sometimes is an issue in the military and this would be a great tool to bring all genders and colors together. Thank you.

Hello Mr. Bullock,
I just saw your videotape and I think it is great and worth watching and educating not only our youth but adults as well to rise above all the destruction
that plagues our community.

This wonderful story of our dealy beginning in America and our horrific reality today that should change all of our hearts to do the right thing. I am Eddie L., pastor of a Church in Fort Myers, FL. It was a brave and righteous move on the part of Mayor Larry Langford to make the official city veiwing and appeal for both spiritual and social change. Let me know How I may get a copy of the video. We will keep you in our prayers and pray God will continue to use you and support this cause that is well needed.
God Bless and keep up the great work,

J.C.
Good evening. I just watched this video on the vimeo site and all I can say is, My God! My husband and I are the youth directors for a Church in Mobile, Al. where we have a membership of nearly 3000. How can we get a copy of this video? Our children need to see this.
Thank you for having the courage to produce this powerful message. I believe that the enemy is bold in his craftiness, therefore, we must be bold in our teaching of the Word of God.
Walk In The Favor Of God!
Candace H.
Please send a copy of it me at the following address. I am the President of an OH. NAACP chapter. We will be holding a forum on race relations and would like to open the discussion with your video.

This is a very relative film. I am a female pastor in Savannah, GA and the black on black crime has gotten out of control. How can I obtain a copy of each version? I thank God for placing this in your spirit. I believe that God is going to use you mightily through these films and others to come. May God continue to bless you in all your endeavors.
Rev. Marsha V.
I would like to have a copy of your video to show the inmates at the Regional Jail. I am the GED instructor at this facility and would like to develop a writing assignment on the subject presented in your video.
Barbara E. VA.
First of all I would like to say that the video is right on time and should be shown to as many people as possible. It would be nice if MTV and BET were to run this video but we both know that is not going to happen. They want to maintain all the negative stereotypes that are a part of their format.

Dear Mr. Bullock,
A hard battle you are fighting. A simple basically on target message with a small audience. I commend your efforts to do that which most blacks of great influence, communicative and creative skills are not necessarily willing to do. That is to take a hard message and say, "Here, now you must take responsibility and save yourselves from this untowards generation." as scripture describes it. Few stand on the front lines with a prophetic stance and tone speaking the truth knowing that you will meet attitude and resistance whether it be that obvious or not. I am not calling you a prophet, but certainly the tone of this message is that of one. I have heard a few people who have attempted in some way to deliver this same message in some form.
Bernard R.
Mr. Bullock, I can only say thank you for this life saving production. I stand with you and all who understand
how badly this message is needed in the black home.
We all know how we got here and with your message ..each one will teach one until we as people get back to respecting and loving each other once again. With God in the mix .. "yes we can".
A.W. -LA.
Good evening, Mr. Erisai
I was touched by the video clip " A War for your Soul". This video made my eyes tear up because this is what i tell the young and older adult men i work with on a daily basis. Nevertheless you captured it on video.
Clem R. -WI.
Brother Bullock,
I wanted to personally thank you for your effort and insight in producing the DVD I just saw (A War For Your Soul). As a Black Man that is old enough to understand and relate to everything your work portrayed, I hope this media and its message resonates in the hearts and minds of all folks, black and white, but particularly black folks, and forces a major change in the way we view and appreciate and love each other…..This is indeed a true work of art and truth. I cannot express in words my gratitude for your work….May God Bless you and keep you and yours……
Sincerely, Your Brother in Spirit,
John D. -Washington D.C.

Is all I can say Mr. Bullock, I am so much more inspired to continue my service to at-risk youth. I have been in many battles with only Jesus at my side but find doing what is required of me to assist these young souls is food to my soul. When you know that you know pressing forward does not become a chore but a journey - Amen!
I want to thank you for your dedication to this mission Mr. Bullock, as I continue my service to showing young people a different path. The church I attend has a strong and growing youth population as well as the surrounding communities and the presentation of your dvd will open many minds, hearts and souls. I will be speaking your name in the many circles I travel Mr. Bullock, once again thank you. May the Lord continue to have favor over you.
Blessings

Brother Reggie Bullock , Greetings to you in Peace,
Thank you for the reply I must say I didn't expect the response, what a pleasant surprise. The way you approach life has a clear ring of authenticity which carries much truth, and now I feel compelled to learn more about your works. Therefore this is my personal effort to be that change we seek in this world, just like you have done, to be the peace we all seek.

First I would like to introduce myself.. My name is N. and I am a firefighter. I received an email with your video that was shown at a city council meeting...
In a few short words....... I am Inspired!!!!!!!!!!
TO many people are complacent about the true reality of their heritage.. I often find myself in discussion with other people about the breakdown of our African heritage... The pride that has been lost and how to obtain it again..... Bravo and many kudos to YOU!!!!!

Good evening first of all, I just viewed you DVD and it brought tears to my ears, wow what a breath of fresh air. It was right on time, I hear those words sometimes daily on the subway here in NYC and I feel so ashamed to hear young black males saying those words. If they only could see that DVD a truly believe they would not use that in there vocabulary. Again I am honored to have seen that message. I would love to get a copy or copies I can distribute to various organization.
NYC
The online showing of "A War for Your Soul" was so powerful, that I had to email some of my close friends so they could see and hear it for themselves! This is something that is looooong overdue!!! As an evangelist/prophet, delivering UN-popular messages are just part of what I have to do on a regular basis. I will continue to pray for you as you continue to do what you were created to do. No matter how rough the way may seem at times, remain faithful. And you will receive a crown of life at the END of the race!!!
God bless you and yours,
Esther W. - Florida

Dear Mr. Bullock,
I am an 8th grade teacher for the Detroit Public Schools.
It is absolutely necessary for our middle school through college age students to view your film as they engage in dialogue for the purpose of working toward continued positive change.
In 1964 I was detained at the Alabama Fairground for about a week. The event was viewed by my family as demeaning and obviously dangerous. I am in preparation of creating a DVD of your production to be shared with my grade 8th students as we begin our school year discussing and mastering the writing of autobiographies and biographies. Please contact me if their is a role I may play as you work to ensure that the world know and never forget.
Thanks for your insight and commitment to the perpetuation of our growth as a people responsible for self!
Ms. Annie H.

The only thing I can say about this film is "oh my God". I will never forget!

Mr. Bullock I congratulate you on the powerful video you produced. A brilliant piece of work and showcases your talent and feel for the real world. You have the strength of character that is needed to balance and show our young and old producers the importance of using film and true history to raise the concious level of our young and old.
Hip Hop is going through a transition and moving back to the positive side. There are artists and major talents in the film industry we are in touch with. Step by step we are moving to free our Black talent from the hollywood plantation and create vehicles that empower and create synergy.
Peace, Power & Blessings

Hello Reggie,
I just want to first acknowledge your work, compassion, and efforts for the youth. I was so encouraged to receive your video from a friend via email. I usually do not open or read trail emails because I am so busy at work, but it was something about the urgency in this email subject that propelled me to open it. And, I am so fortunate that I did so.
I am part of a wonderful youth ministry and we will be giving our third annual youth summit and I would like to have a round table discussion on their thoughts and perceptions on "War for Your Soul".
Please keep the faith and keep the passion! I hope to hear from you soon.
Be Blessed,
Kenya C.

Mr. Bullock, on the fourth Sunday in July, I was asked to speak at my church for YOUTH DAY 2009. I was prepared to speak on something else, and then I received an email from my cousin with your video attached. I was WOWED from the very beginning. Awesome work! What a great move from GOD! Thank you for letting HIM use you! I just received an email from a friend who put it my sermon about your video on YouTube. I would like to invite you to view it. Reggie,
Thank you for your response. I am going to keep your information you provided, and I will continue to teach our young black men to stand up and be REAL fathers to their children. If my schedule allows, I will come see you personally; if you have other videos that I can purchase, I would like that information. Have yourself a blessed day, and continue with your messages. They are very inspirational and educational. You did a wonderful job.
Charles W.
"A War For Your Soul" is an incredible film. You are so talented and I thank you for making this and getting it out to our communities.
God bless you,
Lydia
Not only am I moved to be better and do better each day. The video, signified, the progress of our people. How we are seen, how we walk, talk, and ones own personal perception. I believe that we have come to a time in our world... Where change is not obsolete. But it's mandatory.. Our change is way overdue. Thus in a movement to progress as a people. We must look at the person staring back at us in the mirror.. If we can get self right, others will follow suit.. This was an amazing video, and I pray that it reaches enough to touch them, just like it touched me..
My prayers are with you as you seek to minister to the world... My prayers are with you as you tell the story, how it should be told and my prayers are with you as others watch this amazing video that you have created, in an effort to live out the dream...
Blessings to you
Shametra M.
First off, thank you so so so much for replying. I was skeptical that you would, much less such an extensive message. I really appreciated the movie, it was very well organized and presented. Trust me, I will distribute it regularly. I am a 19 year old college student in Atlanta and see how hip-hop culture and the Black stereotype effect people especially my age. You can send it to:
Angel S.
Thank you so very much for the outstanding job you did on producing “A War for your Soul.” I received it a couple of weeks ago, sent it out to several of my friends and politicians and finally placed information on how to watch it in my newspapers.
I am Clara M., owner of the two newspapers listed above and host for a radio show aired on three stations in the Jacksonville area. I have already advised my website manager to place the video on my site and to keep it there. My request is to have an interview with you on my radio show, live wherein my listeners can call in and talk with you or ask questions or just praise you for what you have done. We also have a very large mail audience, all over the U.S., the military and many prisons. Thank you again I pray I will hear from you soon.
Clara M.
Good Morning,
My name is Anita W. and I would like to speak with you regarding a war for your soul. For years I have prayed passionately for the restoration and reunification of African American Marriages, our Men and Women, relationships. This movie is POWERFUL AND TRUE, both socially and spiritually.
I am planning retreats at Colonial Willamsburg for African American Women to know the passage of hatred and replace it with intentional love for our men, families and ourselves. I would appreciate your input as this is in process. In the meantime, thank you, thank you for the clarion call...of FORWARD MARCH.
Anita W. President
Thanks Reggie:
I hate it.. I hate it.. I hate it..not the DVD movie but the truth in it!!..we have a major problem and to think in this day and age with all the opportunities that are available to "us" we still have a group of ignorant Brothers and Sisters who think its hip and cool to refer to each others as niggers..as an individual that can relate to the "old days..( I am 70) it pains me to see Black celebrities think it's cool to act like a gang banger and go along with referring to our as women as bitches and hoes..and of course the super reference of "dog"..unfortunately I ran across a TV program called "Cribs" and one of our super hip hop stars was boasting of his cars as he was being sued for back child support of 8 kids..all still living with their "ho"(moms) in the ghetto..I watched an Oprah show last year..her guest included some big name Black movie stars..Oprah was asking them why they did not see the issue of Black people referring to each other as niggers..to a person their reply was.."It's a Brother thing..like I love you man thing"..however it was not OK for white people to use the N word..that most of the Black people that live in the "Hood" think of the word as an affectionate expression exclusive to them...as long as it came from a "Brother..
And of course we feed this insanity by recognizing "them" as creditable stars and buy their degrading music and give them awards at the Black Oscars and NAACP Awards shows..because it pays the network big dough..follow home some of the kids that just purchased($17.00 to $25.00) a CD or DVD and most don't have a decent place to sleep or eat..and of course their "heroes" visit for a hot minute and then its back to their "zillion dollar "cribs and 15 cars..so they can come up with more degrading shit to sell us and guess what..all our legitimate media hosts..scramble to get them on their show..because it gives them ratings..
Yes..I hate it..I hate it..I hate it..
Question is..what can we do to help stop this crime against our people..?? My answer..
"if someone open a "porn book store in your neighborhood and nobody stopped in or made any purchases from that store how long would they stay in business?
Look in your music library or your Ipod..every time good people make a purchase or spend a dime on that crap you promote the industry and those who benefit the most from it....question...if this music trend is a Billion dollar business and it stems from the intercity hoods and rappers..how much of that Billion dollars stay in the "hood".....you can make a difference by not buying those offensives CDs and DVDs!! Advertisers that sponsors and support the "stars" that produce that junk should know,,we are not going to buy your product..get active and take a stand..lets take our dignity back!!
Robert B.
I just received the dvd! I thank you a great deal brother and assure you that your labor will touch the lives of many young men through the work that the Lord has enabled me to do. God bless you bro & I do plan on reaching out to you in the future regarding speaking engagements.
Steve H.
Reggie, I first want to say you are an amazing person. I really do, from the bottom of my heart thank you for this. I am on board with spreading this to all of our youth and parents. I will definitely contact those radio shows and encourage them to help in this fete to touch our lost. My pastor wants to make this our sole focus to our youth so he’s showing this in our church and has demanded other pastors to view it online and spread the message. We would love to hear you speak and pray that you will be able to come see us in Houston soon. I will ensure that everyone I come in contact with receives this empowering message. Thank you so very much and God Bless!

Hi,
My name is Terry and I founded a non-profit organization, founded to increase awareness of disproportionate minority contact in the juvenile justice system, we hope to be a very strong voice on the issues that are destroying children in South Carolina and around the nation.
I would like very much to get the video in another format to show at our next event. It's tough to see in its entirety due to bandwith errors on the internet. Would you please advise what's needed to receive the video via another method. Thank you!

Hello!
As an African American administrator, you have no idea how many folk in this city and state will see this video. I am showing it to preachers who have no clue or at least act like we need to only pray. The God that I serve tells me that "faith without works is dead"
Again, I thank-you.
J.M.
Greetings Reggie,
I just watched the video "A War For Your Soul", someone sent it to me via email. After watching it, all I could do is say WOW!! It's deep (what we have come to). But, I must say, I have been viewing the African American community for a long time, and wondering why we have come to this, how we can just sit back and continue to go in this downward spiral of self destruction and when are WE going to wake the Hell up and get busy and stop all the rhetoric and nonsense?
Thank you for what you do. Lets continue together to lift of our people and lead them in a positive direction.
GOD Bless you and may He keep each of you in His Grace,
Brenda
Hey Guys,
Thanks so much for sharing this video to the world. I think a lot of young people could benefit from watching this video. However, the Ian Smith Foundation, Inc will host a youth/teen summit this Saturday at the Municipal Gardens Family Center and was wondering if you could send us a copy of this video. We would like to share this with about 150-200 young minority students from the inner-city of Indianapolis. Would you please send us this powerful video? or send a link so we could copy it to a disc? But we are not trying to profit off the video or anything. This would be to solely educate our youth and hopefully ignite a change in their mentality.
Thanks,
I. Smith
Good day, I am in the Virgin Islands and I would like to know how I can receive a copy of the DVD. I just saw it for the first time and I plan to use it to present to our youth in our community.
Clarence P.
Finally, I heard of this film via email from a friend in Detroit, MI., so your message is indeed traveling, and I have no doubt that the Spirit of God is orchestrating your work. Once our drama club is up and running, I would love nothing more than to speak with you about your speaking to our group. I cannot thank you enough. I SO look forward to receiving the film!
M. M.
Reggie,
I received the DVD in time to take it to the Family Reunion. We showed it on the tour bus at the end of the tour while we were driving back to the hotel. I had a captive audiance :-) The family thoroughly enjoyed it, made a lot of comments about it and of course have requested copies. We are making copies available to the 10 family members who requested copies.
I think one family member might be contacting your representative regarding an interview to be aired on his TV station in Cleveland if you are ever in that area.
Again, Thank you for this and It will truly be shared across the United States.
E Holmes
I watched your awesome film, A War For Your Soul – Birmingham Version, and was touched beyond measure. Thank you so much for your portrayal of the real deal when it comes to African Americans. I forwarded the email to everyone I know. I have just one request. I work with many senior groups, many of who do not have computers. I would like to get a copy of the CD to show them, as I know they will appreciate the film’s message as much as I did. Would you Please send a copy to:

Hello I am a teacher at a juvenile lock up facility, and I really would like to obtain a copy of the presentation of A war for your soul. Changing the way our youth think about the way they live life is a passion of mine and will forever be. The video shows them all what we try to tell them on a daily basis. I actually teach the GED program at our school and most of my students are African American and Hispanic, and many are gang members and we get new classes every 12 weeks. While in our GED program we also attempt to teach the young men a trade such as electrical and automotive. They have an opportunity to leave the school for 3 hours a day and go to our community college and earn certificates in the trade of choice. This video can be used as a great tool in my classroom, one of the things I love about it is the way it stresses education. Again if at all possible I would love to have a copy.
Thanks,
Glenda M.
Reggie,
I have to give you credit on that video you produced. My wife and I were having the same conversation a few days ago, and I could not have said what you said any better than you did. This video needs to be viewed by the masses. And I do mean everyone, black, white, and everyone in between. You hit the nail on the head with the comment about us blaming everyone else but ourselves. What makes things worse is that while our people complain so much, every other racial group is buying all the houses and business in our communities and living comfortably off of the black dollar. Realistically, I don't even think there is such a thing as a "black dollar" anymore. Our dollars are everyone elses dollars, but their dollars stay as their dollars. We need to have this played at every elementary school, every junior and high school, and every college, particularly HBCU's. I attend an HBCU, and I am a member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. I would love the opportunity to organize an event on campus where we show this video and come up with ways to get the word out to the masses. I am afraid for our youth, for the generation after me. They are being lead so far off the right path, by our own people, that it makes me wonder what the future holds for them.
I am going to stop rambling now, but I'm sure we could sit down and bounce a million ideas off of one another. Feel free to contact me and we can talk, and maybe come up with some solutions, since your video does a perfect job at explaining the problem.
Peace,
Justin D.

Mr. Bullock,
Your video was very compelling to say the least. It was quite late when I watched it. I told myself that I would just take a minute to see what it was aout, but I couldn't click to end it. I was drawn in as soon as it began. It spoke volumes to the state of Black America and what we're up against especiaIly in terms of our young people. Thank you so much for sharing your work with us. I would love to have a copy. Please tell me how I may acquire one.
Thank you,
Carmen T.

I've tried a couple of times to view your video but have not been successful. Can you provide suggestions as to why this may be happening.
I'd appreciate your help.

Good Afternoon Mr. Bullock,
I just reviewed your video and must tell you, my
husband and I were moved to tears. We want
to thank you for this incredible piece of work. My
name is LaVerne R. and I am the Co-Founder of
an organization called Sisters Serving Our Community,
Inc. We are a group of African-American
women committed to providing positive images of our women in
our communities. Our goal is to mentor our sisters by showing them that
there are other alternatives to paths of
negativity. We want to show them they can
achieve a college education, they do not have to repeat the
cycle that their mother or grandmothers may have endured,
that they should be called by their name and no other, that
there is a life available to them even after having a
child.
Again, Thank you for moving my heart.
LaVerne R.
Mr. Bullock:
I just had the opportunity to witness your powerful video, A War for Your Soul. I am currently the director of the young people at the church I attend and I would love to be able to get copy of this video. You are indeed a blessing to God's people. Keep being led by God and allow Him to increase the gifts He has bestowed upon you.
Thank you for your time and talent. May God continue to bless you and your family.
In Christ,
Deborah M., YPCL Director
I am pleased to say that the history of our race has been neglected. I am a 28 yr. old band director from Indianola that watch the teenagers here in our community take for granted their education. The nation are creating more test for the public schools to only keep the children from graduating, but with that in mind the children of our community are not taking education seriously. The young parents that gave birth to those kids do not come out to support their children nor attend PTA meetings to check on the behavior. This video will give my students an eye open experience why we should not use the nigga label to speak to each other. I would love to have a copy of this video to show my district this powerful broadcast.

Hello Mr. Bullock,
My name is Kym W., I am the elected prosecutor in my County. A friend sent me your production. As you are no doubt aware, we have major, major crime issues here - too numerous to mention. The latest "most notable" was one where seven teens were shot at a bus stop just steps away from their summer school. School had just been dismissed for the day. I am writing for permission to copy and distribute your production to schools all over my county.
I thank you,
Kym W.
Ohmigosh! I praise the Lord for your insight! I am going to beg to show this at the middle school I work at. We have a Black History celebration in February and it might take that long to talk the Principal into showing it. If he says no, I will show it somehow. It needs to be seen, especially in my school!!
God bless you.
Cpl M. Spriggs
My son needed to see this and I pray that he understands now, what I've been saying for years. "We Are Not Niggas or Niggers". Neither are your friends, associates and relatives.
Thank God for you, Reggie for getting this message to our people and I will send this to EVERY person that I know. I'm not crying anymore, I'm grateful!

Thank you reggie for that informative video it is so true we need to wake up as a people God bless you I will send this to many people with your permission amd pray that it will touch them in a way thatthey will react in a possitive way.

I am an African American Psychotherapist and my practice specializes in the treatment of African American adolescents and young adults. Your video does an outstanding job of addressing the ills that our youth fall prey too. I especially appreciate the way that you powerfully address our use of the word Nigger as well as our apathy towards education.
I would like to use your video to augment my work. How can I get a copy?

Reginald Bullock,
Thanks for a wonder tool and look in to the life of the African-American. I teach kids computer and also dance in Milwaukee, WI. Is there a way I can buy a copy of your DVD to show to my students? Being from Louisiana I have a strong family connection with your DVD thanks for keeping our dreams, struggles and success before us.

Mr. Bullock, a good friend of mine emailed me your video. I am counselor in Far Rockaway in Queens, New York. I work with a lot of young men in an attempt to give them guidance and understanding as to who they really are as men created by God. this. I'm a black man and I know my race need to see this! Brother

Mr. K. Johnson
Reggie,
I received your video in an email message today and it really touched my heart. I live here in Battle Creek, Michigan. Within the last 2 weeks we have had our black children here have just been killing one another in the most worst way. Actually the killing started at the end of May. One family has had to bury 2 of their sons in a 2 month period.
I would like to know if I could please have copies of your video for our churches and community here. My husband has been trying to be involved in the community and would even like to create his own organization to help the young men here. He just doesn't know where to start and who to have in his corner. We have several group that proclaim that they want to make a change but when your heart is not in it and you are only being in it for the fame, it doesn't work. There are people involved in these groups who do not have the "faith", not even experiencing the presence of the Lord. He is who we need to help us get through, just as your video constantly said.
Thank you and may God bless you for your work.

Dear Sirs,
I am employed at a School System in Missouri and saw the powerful video. Wandering If there was any way to get a copy on DVD or VHS to show to my students. I really feel it would cause our students to think seriously about their education.

Hi Mr. Bullock,
My husband and I viewed your video and it hit us right between the eyes. The topics you share are one's we've often discussed and felt that the rawness of the video really represented the intensity of the risks we're under. It is so powerful - thank you so much for creating it.
We need to get a DVD so we can show at an upcoming community meeting.
Is there some way I can obtain a copy?
thank you,
Diane M.
Greetings Mr. Bullock;
I want to know how I might obtain a copy of this powerful film. I'm a pastor in Kansas City, MO, I get the opportunity to go into schools and the juvenile system to talk to youth all of the time. Your film are things I generally talk about, but to be able to play this for them, I think would hit the message home. Thank you for your creativity and willingness to shed some light on truth. Look forward to future works and hearing from you. God bless!
Yours truly;
Antoine R. Sr.
Hello Mr. Bullock,
I just wanted your documentary titled "A War For Your Soul". You did an awesome job with this documentary. I understand that the documenary is not for sale. I would like to show this documentary at my upcoming family reunion, I think that it is very powerful and would open up some of my family members eyes to what is happening. Is this documentary only on the internet or can it be found in the local public library.
Thank you,
Hevenile S.
I can not begin to express the emotion I feel at this present moment. That was and is powerful.

Dear Mr. Bullock,
As I sit here with tears in my eyes after seeing your wonderful short film about the plight of African-Americans, I felt complelled to email you. I have seen many things that have moved me and I say to myself 'that was good', but I have never felt compelled to take the time out to say thank you to the person that created it. Today I had to write you to tell you how powerful your film was. I am a teacher in a predominantly African-American school district in Ohio. I have taught for fourteen years. Every year I see African-American children who have fallen victim to 'the voice of darkness'. At seven years old they have already embraced the 'ghetto' life and thinking it's cool. I will never forget when a third grade student of mine told me he wanted to be a pimp. I asked him if he even knew what a pimp was. He thought it was someone who was cool and had a lot of money. I informed him that a pimp was someone who mistreated women and used women to make money. He didn't know that. All he knew was that in the rap songs being a pimp was 'da bomb'. At first I was angry at the music for celebrating 'pimp', 'thugs', and 'criminals'. Yes some of the music today, especially hip=hop, is sending a bad message to our youth, but we are buying it. This child heard this music in his house or car because his parents were playing it. SO many children are exposed to the junk we call music via their parents. Parents today are not like my parents were. These parents worship youth and they think it is cute to never grow up. They dress like they are going to a club, they curse, and they blast music from their speakers like an eighteen year old. It is time for black parents to change and to become aware of the truth. Your video is the truth. We must stop playing into the hands of 'the voice of darkness'. This will only happen when we educate ourselves, stop worshiping things, and start raising our children. Black children are the future and all they think they can do is entertain others. Most of my students want to be professional sports figures, rap, dance, and sing. Those things are not bad, but that is all they see themselves as doing because that is all black people do today. I tell them its nice to want to do those things, but I tell them that a good education and commom sense is more important than any of those things. The black community needs to break out of this box we have put ourselves in. Your video has put my thoughts into words and images. Thank you so much for making this film. I saw it because my father, who is a retired teacher, forwarded to me. I had to watch it on a very small screen. I was wondering how I could possibly get a DVD of this so I can give it to other teachers and administrators. May God bless you and continue to give you the intelligence, insight, strength, and creativity to continue making films that will impact the black community as well as the world.
Sincerely,
Ali V.
Mr. Bullock
This video I feel everyone must watch because it chronicle's our
history and defines what has lead to our internal self hate and destruction amongst
many of our people. Please Send this video to me so that I can share it with my
congregation, students, friends, co-workers, neighbors,and family,etc. This
information is that important. It should make you think. We are the
change we have been waiting for. Nobody can save us from us but us.
God bless
Deacon Jimmy S.
Hello Mr. Bullock,
I am a community coordinator of and non-profit organization which educates the youth in the community about abstinence and I viewed the clipping I was blown away. A matter of fact we are now in the processes of hosting our Power2Conquer Youth Conference and that tape would be something that would be of interests to share with the youth for real talk session. If there is any way possible we could get a copy of that DVD before the conference next week It will greatly appreciated. I have also, attached a copy of the event as well unfortunately we have all our speakers for this event but, we definitely will be contacting you for future event and again thank you in advance for all that you do in forming the community.

I loved your video. It was so powerful and I hope it get's seen by all those who should see it. As a young African American woman, I appreciated the time and wisdom put into it. I believe God blessed you with it. Thank you for sharing.
WOW!!! That was PROFOUND! This message touched me like nothing I've ever experienced before and made me appreciate my parents, family, the African American race even more. Thank you so much for finding the courage to gather all of the disturbing pictures and dialogue and share it with the world. The killings have got to STOP!

Hi, my name is Nicole D. and I have just finished watching your video, we have an out reach program where we visit troubled neighborhoods and I think this message may be effective in reaching some of our youth and letting them know there is another way.

Dear Reginald Bullock:
I would like to congratulate you on your efforts to enlighten our youth. I like the film and would like to add it to my library as I too work with at-risk youth since 2001. I am the director of MediaNet Academy in Chicago since 2001. The teens in my after school program learn how to produce television, video, websites, etc. as well as the importance of minority management and ownership of the media.
As a two-time Emmy Award winner, I have a deep appreciation of others work and find that you have a unique storytelling ability. I couldn't help but think when I show this film to my students during the part where Kunta Kinte was being whipped that not only did he change his name to Toby but also Crack, Heroin, Meth, Addict, etc. I would like to meet you and perhaps have you as a guest speaker for my program.
Thank you very much,
Karen M.
I have seen this video and thought it to be is very powerful film that everyone should see especially the young kids and the wanna be's. How can I get copies?
Thank you for your vision into this spiralling madness.
